Das hier gezeigte Diorama entstand für einen Modellbauwettbewerb der Herpa Hauszeitschrift „Der Massstab“. Es handelt sich um eine kleine Versorgungstation im australischen Busch, die auf einer Sperrholzplatte 30cm x 50cm umgesetzt wurde. Bei der kleinen Station handelt es sich um einen Bausatz der Stuttgarter Firma Vollmer, wobei die Veranda ein kompletter Eigenbau aus Balsaholz ist. Die Zapfsäulen sind einer Faller Tankstelle entliehen und wurden farblich behandelt. Das Windrad ist ein Weißmetall Bausatz der amerikanischen Firma Woodland und mußte ebenfalls farblich behandelt werden. Die Fahrzeuge auf dem Diorama stammen von der Fa. Herpa, wobei der Range Rover das mir einzig bekannte Fahrzeug dieses Herstellers mit Rechtslenkung ist. Er wurde an den Seiten und am Heck mit einem Holzdekor versehen und bekam einen Dachgepäckträger, der die wichtigsten Sachen für einen Notfall im Busch bereithält: Einen Benzinkanister und zwei Reservereifen.Bei dem Lastzug handelt es sich um einen Roadtrain, der hier gerade seine Vorräte für den langen Weg bis zur Küste auffrischt. Es handelt sich bei der Zugmaschine um einen Kenworth W 900. Dieser wurde komplett umlackiert und anschließend mit einem „Roo Bar“ (Känguruh-Fänger oder auf Deutsch Kuhfänger), den typisch australischen großen Lüftern und Zusatztanks auf australische Verhältnisse umgerüstet. Dennoch ein kleiner Schönheitsfehler bleibt: Es ist nach wie vor ein Linkslenker. Bei den beiden Aufliegern handelt es sich um die im Herpa Sortiment befindlichen Container-Auflieger, die lediglich mit einer Alterung versehen wurden. Natürlich befindet sich auf dem Diorama auch ein Känguruh, und das dazugehörige Warnschild. Ausserdem lagern hinter dem Schuppen noch jedemenge Kleinkram, wie z.B. alte Ölfässer, Reifen,...

Das Diorama belegte bei dem Wettbewerb für den es gebaut wurde den zweiten Platz. Hierfür möchte ich mich bei allen Lesern des Massstabs bedanken, die dafür gestimmt haben.

The diorama shown here appeared for a model construction contest for the Herpa company magazine „Der Massstab“. It is about a small Care Station in the Australian bush which was moved on a piece of plywood 30 cm x 50 cm. With the small Station it is about a kit of the German firm of Vollmer and the terrace is a complete own building from wood. The gas pumps are borrowed from a Faller gas station and were treated in colour. The wind turbine is a white metal kit of the American firm of Woodland and had also to be treated in colour. The vehicles on the diorama come from the German firm of Herpa and the Range Rover the vehicle only known to me of this manufacturer with right steering system. He was provided in the sides and in the rear with a wood decoration and received a roof-rack which holds ready the most important things for an emergency in the bush: A gasoline can and two spares. With the truck it is about a Roadtrain which refreshes here just his supplies for the long way up to coast. It is with the tractor about a Kenworth W 900. This was varnished completely around and afterwards with a „Roo bar“ (kangaroo-catcher), to the typically Australian big ventilators and addition tanks on Australian relations reequipped. Nevertheless, a small blemish remains: It is still a left-hand drive. With both semitrailers it is around in the Herpa assortment present container-semitrailer which were provided only with an ageing. Naturally a kangaroo, and the pertinent warning sign is also on the diorama. Besides, store behind the shed still each trivial affairs mix.

The diorama covered with the contest for which it was built the second place. For this I would like to thank all readers of the „ Der Massstab“ which have voted for it.
