Einen Tag bevor die Dampfsaison 2018 eröffnet wurde feuerte man die Lok Nummer 9 „Waumbek“ an und unternahm unterhalb der Talstation ein paar Testfahrten.

Leider verhüllte dichter Nebel den Gipfel des Mt. Washington bei meinen Besuch. So konnte Lok Nummer 9 „Waumbek“ nur schemenhaft in der Bergstation wahrgenommen werden.

Zurück im Tal konnten neue Vorräte aufgenommen werden, für die nächste Fahrt hoch zum Gipfel.

Seit 2008 betreibt die Mt. Washington Cog Railway auch eine Flotte Diesellokomotiven, die in den eigenen Werkstätten gebaut wurden. Hier ist Lok Nummer M1 „Wajo Nanatassis“ zu sehen.

An der Ausweiche passierte unseren ins Tal fahrenden Zug Lok M3 „Abenaki“ auf dem Weg zum Gipfel.

Lok M6 „Laprade“ erreicht mit ihrem Personenzug die Talstation über die neu gebaute Brücke.

At the dodge we passed with our train to the valley the Locomotive M3 "Abenaki" on the way to the summit.
